Wyatt's Words: Let's all eat Josh
My brother gave me the idea to sketch pictures of words my nephew says. He's 16 months and saying some real words. Other words sound real but they don't make sense in the context. These are pictures of those moments.
Wyatt said this last weekend when we were camping and sitting around the picnic table for dinner.

MaddFlowers: Romantic Blue and Pink Fall Wedding Flowers (Springfield, MO)
The Couple: Brianna and Matt
The Date: 10/12/14
The Location: The Fork and Spoon/ Diamond Room, Springfield, MO
The Flowers: The couple had a vision for the pink flowers to accent and compliment the sapphire blue. We fulfilled this romantic look with roses, dahlias, queen anne's lace, ranunculus, carnations, spray roses and lisianthus.
Working with the Bride's fun books, bottles and cages, I set up flowers around them to make cute centerpieces.

Things my boyfriend says to me: hey bear
A friend from college has called me Bear for many years as a nickname.
It didn't phase me when my fiancé started calling me Bear. But I decided to call him Moose one day, hence the moose next to the bear. He even has Ray Bands like his.

Grandma Betty Insights
Hanging out with Grandma Betty at a jewelry party earlier this year, I learned of fun travels she'd been on earlier in life.
She's been many wonderful places including Belgium.
I do hope she got to taste the local waffles when she was there.

It still needs some jazzing up but I wanted to share this gem I started in the spring.

wedding sketches
I like sketching so to announce our engagement, we sent out announcement postcards.
To highlight things that are us... Josh is from Georgia (but doesn't like peaches), the compass points north to St. Louis- where he moved to be with me :). The chicken symbolizes the beginning of our relationship, we both talked about wanting to own chickens someday, so Josh told me he was mailing me chickens, I was terrified that I'd come home in November or December to chicken eggs on my front porch. Luckily, I just came home to a stuffed chicken.
Music City Nashville (complete with the Batman Building) is in the upper right corner, where we met. Josh likes airplanes, hence the airplane.
We both like biking, a lot. and sunsets and hiking.
Then came the save the dates. We decided not to send out official cards in the mail to anyone because its a smaller wedding and as much as we love mail, this was an easier idea. Our wedding colors are Sunset and Josh still likes airplanes! :)

Sketchy personal ads
I needed something else to sketch and I like to sketch words, so I made sketchy personal ads for my friends. Any takers? If you're for real interested, I'll set you up.

Things my boyfriend says to me
I was inspired by Nathan Ripperger who has an Etsy shop called "Things I've Said to my Children." He created graphics with the sayings that are cute. I've been inspired by this and some things my boyfriend has said to me that are funny, sweet and random. I'm surprised, I didn't do this sooner about things I say because they are completely random. The original text read: "You are my little piece of plastic one the end of my shoe lace if you here not there I would fall apart." Unfortunately or not, when I created my drawing, I did not transpose it correctly. But that's okay because it somewhat reflects the text to me with auto correct or voice texting on. I'm not sure if I'm 100% done with it but this is it so far, maybe I'll add a curvly shoelace and aglet!
... and more to come hopefully.
