Sketching for my office: Design Extra style

I've been thankful that the company I work for allows me to show my creative side. I've done these sketches over the past couple years.

Things my boyfriend says to me: hey bear

A friend from college has called me Bear for many years as a nickname.
It didn't phase me when my fiancé started calling me Bear. But I decided to call him Moose one day, hence the moose next to the bear. He even has Ray Bands like his.

Grandma Betty Insights

Hanging out with Grandma Betty at a jewelry party earlier this year,  I learned of fun travels she'd been on earlier in life.
She's been many wonderful places including Belgium.
I do hope she got to taste the local waffles when she was there.
It still needs some jazzing up but I wanted to share this gem I started in the spring.

Lafayette Square Neighborhood Banners

It all started with a sketch of some Lafayette Square houses. I digitally covered this image and we created banners for Lafayette Square to welcome visitors to the area.

wedding sketches

I like sketching so to announce our engagement, we sent out announcement postcards.

To highlight things that are us... Josh is from Georgia (but doesn't like peaches), the compass points north to St. Louis- where he moved to be with me :).  The chicken symbolizes the beginning of our relationship, we both talked about wanting to own chickens someday, so Josh told me he was mailing me chickens, I was terrified that I'd come home in November or December to chicken eggs on my front porch. Luckily, I just came home to a stuffed chicken.
Music City Nashville (complete with the Batman Building) is in the upper right corner, where we met. Josh likes airplanes, hence the airplane.
We both like biking, a lot. and sunsets and hiking.

Then came the save the dates. We decided not to send out official cards in the mail to anyone because its a smaller wedding and as much as we love mail, this was an easier idea. Our wedding colors are Sunset and Josh still likes airplanes! :)
